Lal Fernando, a worldwide humanitarian, educator and environmentalist for over 50 years around the world in 36 countries. Founder of New Era Children’s Foundation (NECF), he changed lives with innovative and highest impact projects such as Arizona’s largest water safety programme, with 140,000 children educated, 14% reduction in pool drownings.

An ardent advocate of interfaith concord, Lal has worked to promote World Religion Day worldwide and to support health, education, and sustainability projects implemented on UN programs. His work has won awards such as the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award. Now in her current home in the U.S., Lal is inspiring people around the world as a catalyst for social change; transforming lives through empowering youth; protecting the environment and offering innovative solutions for global peace; and working her life-long commitment to equality, education, and compassionate action.
